What's the quickest way to get started?
Sometimes we all just want a quick fix. Easiest way? From the homepage, copy the url in the first box, and click join. Send that link to your friend and when they click on it, they will be connected to you! Browse away.
-
Do I need to signup?
We're not going to burden you with yet another signup, so no signup required! You really don't need an account to start sharing.
-
How do I know when someone joins?
People can be slow sometimes, so we have a few status messages to let you know when someone joins. You will see your status change in the floating chatbox, as well as a notification message that will pop up on your screen telling you someone has joined. When they come, send them a message to say "hi", or "what took you so long?"
-
How do I invite someone to join me?
Friends are hard to come by, but if you happen upon one, just send the URL of your browser to them via email, chat, or a message through your favorite social network. There's no special URL, and no special page you need to wait on. Just simply copy and paste from wherever you are after you've launched from the homepage. Get them to click the link with promise of cool product shopping. All the other ways to get connected can be found on the homepage.

Does this only work on one page?
It wouldn't be so cool if it was only one page would it? We felt the same way, so we built this so that our entire site can be browsed collaboratively. You can change pages, scroll up and down, put inputs into text fields, and more. When you want to make a purchase or goto an external page, that's when we pause the sharing so you can finish your purchases on a site like Amazon.com, privately and securely.
-
What are the requirements to use the site?
None! It's so lame to have to go through install and setup processes to do any collaboration these days. As long as you have an internet connection and a web browser, you can collaborate in real-time on Browseology
-
I'm afraid of my privacy, how do you protect it?
We don't allow sharing in the final purchasing steps, including any areas where you type in any credit card or billing information. We also utilize the web browser's existing security like a sandbox, so that people cannot access anything outside of the webpage on Browseology. Our pages will never ask for any private or sensitive information. Our internal pages are virus free, so you can be confident that when you're sharing it's safe!
-
Will you have more stores that I can shop in?
You bet. We are perpetually adding new sources for you to do your shopping! If you have stores you'd like to recommend, please contact us! If you have your own store you'd like to franchise into our little "virtual mall" to give it instant collaborative power, let us know. We're always looking for great stores that people love to shop in.
-
How much does this service cost if any?
Collaboration in real-time is all free on Browseology. Gotta love free stuff.
-
Does this work on the iPhone?
We currently support collaborative browsing on the iPhone, but our iPhone friendly layout is not complete yet. Be sure to keep updated on our blog for when our specialized mobile version comes out. I'm not kidding either, try it out now, and complain about the looks, but soon enough you'll get a full blow iPhone optimized looking version.

Does this work on any website or just Browseology?
The collaboration you see on Browseology is currently restricted to our site only. This provides for a controlled and safe medium for you to collaborate on. If you're interested in integrating this technology into you're own site: please contact us.
